We are thrilled to introduce Nathan Robrahn, the new principal at Kenowa Hills High School. Mr. Robrahn comes to us with over 15 years of high school principal experience, most recently as the principal of Wyoming High School. While he has spent the last three decades serving students in various educational roles, as a graduate of Kenowa Hills, his heart has never left and he is ready to come home to the Knights!
Previous to his time at Wyoming Public Schools, Mr. Robrahn served as the superintendent at Montague Area Public Schools and principal at Zeeland Public Schools, where he was instrumental in transitioning students and families from one high school to two.
Mr. Robrahn earned a masters of education and administrative certification from Grand Valley State University, and his bachelor’s degree and teacher certification from Hope College. He taught for four years before becoming an administrator. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Baker College and the University of St. Francis.
“We are excited for Nathan to be coming back home to Kenowa Hills,” said Kenowa Hills Assistant Superintendent Dr. Mike Burde. “It was clear and evident during the interview process that he values relationships with students, staff, families, and community. Mr. Robrahn is coming to Kenowa Hills with impressive experiences and he’s eager to immerse himself back into our community.”
Meet and Greet
Mark your calendar for a Meet & Greet event on Tuesday, August 6 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in the High School cafeteria. Attendees should enter at the Fieldhouse entrance due to construction at the main entrance.
From Mr. Robrahn:
Favorite Quote: "All kids need is a little help, a little hope and somebody who believes in them." Magic Johnson
Since graduating from Kenowa in 1987, it has been my mission to cultivate and provide opportunities for students to feel help, hope, and belief. In everything that I have done from volunteering, teaching, and especially in administration, my belief in the power of having a caring adult keeps drawing me back to the work that is education!
Coming full circle to now be where I began my journey is an incredible opportunity for which I am grateful.
Beyond my loyalty to Kenowa Hills, I feel inspired by the innovation that is happening here. The district’s emphasis on students’ taking ownership in their learning makes me believe that accountability and individuality can exist and thrive within our school. Beyond this, it’s amazing to see the changes throughout the district and witness how a physical space can create an atmosphere that ignites learning and fosters community. What an exciting time to be a Knight- a returning one, at that!
Thank you for the welcome home and the opportunity to serve this great community as a Knight!

TRANSPORTATION BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CAREOur Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without an understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
